He earned a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics and an M.S. in Engineering from Brown University, after graduating at the top of his undergraduate class at Georgia Tech with degrees in both Physics and Mathematics. Having completed pedagogical training at Brown's Sheridan Center for Teaching and Learning, he knows how to take a concept apart and rebuild it so students can understand at depth, whether that concept is a quadratic equation or a proof in real analysis. At Alma he works with students on mathematics through AP Calculus. Additionally, he covers AP Statistics, AP Physics, AP Chemistry, AP Computer Science, and the digital SAT. His teaching style emphasizes practical problem-solving that guides students towards a deeper understanding of complex concepts.
